Plans Changed Due To Efficient Mail From Japan

I had planned to start my 2014 Gunpla Blitz with my Real Grades but a surprise package arrived from Japan about a month before schedule. My friend is a Gundam fan but has negative manual coordination skills. So I thought it would be a nice thing to do to get one of the model kits he wanted and put it together for him as a surprise.

The suit in question is the Neo Zeon NZ-666 Kshatriya from Gundam Unicorn.

Admittedly, he was asking for a 1/100 scale model but since Bandai doesn't make one the only option is a 3rd party resin kit going for several hundred dollars. Screw that noise! So I managed to find a an HGUC 1/144 scale model (and it's still pretty big) which I'm going to be working on instead. So the RGs will be pushed back so I can get this model kit done.

I do have to say that this is model has some chunky arms and legs. I'm not even sure a regular action base will hold this thing up securely once the outer shell pieces go on.
